Sam has officialy begun the next phase in his protocol. This is called "Interim Maintenance" and it began on September 17 at Children's Hospital in Vancouver. After 2 days of treatments that left him feeling very tired, pukey, and with little appetite, it was time to go home. He felt much better on the weekend and will hopefully be back in school tomorrow. He had a ton of work to catch up on this weekend, having missed 4 days of school.
Sam will go to the Prince George Regional Hospital for his chemo treatments on the Pediatric Ward this Friday. He has only had bloodwork done so far here, so we are hoping and praying that all will continue well. We are thankful to receive treatment here in our own city so we can all be together!
Ger and I are trying to get a few things done around the house that we would have normally done during our summer vacation time. Hopefully we can get some of our home maintenance projects done in the next few weeks and check it off our to do list.
Some things we are talking with God about:
1. Thankful for God's timely provisions
2. Praying that Sam will not get a fever, even though he has a cold now
3. Emotional strength for us all and physcial strength for Sam
