Sam is doing great, feeling normal, and enjoying being outside everyday. He is doing well in school, loves playing road hockey at recess and lunch, gets his homework done quickly after school so he can spend the rest of the afternoon and evening outside. He's been playing basketball, biking, scootering, dirt biking, throwing around the football and frisbee, and hanging out with kids in the neighborhood. I cannot tell you or express how much it means to me to see him so healthy, happy and active...some days it actually makes me teary and I have a little cry of gratitude and thankfulness to God for healing him.

Sam had his blood work done yesterday and this afternoon we head down to Vancouver for treatments tomorrow at Children's Hospital. We have lots to discuss with Dr. Bond now that Sam's counts have stabilized. Sam is only at the 50% recommended dosage for maintenance, so we are wondering what happens now. We are so grateful for the opportunity we have to meet with the specialists each month at Children's. It is very reassuring and extremely helpful.

We are all enjoying our spring weather, happy to have the snow gone at last, and dreaming of summer holidays.

Blelssings on your day,
Debbie

Woot for summer! I've been out playing some bball and some soccer too. Thank God for this nice weather. I was thinking the other day about how it's been almost a year since I cut my hair, and since you were diagnosed. It's amazing how things change in such a short amount of time. A year from now, it will be more different, but some things stay the same. God is constantly by our side and so is our family when they have the chance. Well, thinking of you Sam

Been a while since I checked in. We've been away. Nice to hear Sam is feeling good, and that the bronchitis let him be. Spent a couple of days riding the hills in northern California recently. Whoohoo! Sam, it sure does feel good to get in the saddle after a long winter, doesn't it? :-)

Hi Debbie,

We are just so grateful for the outpour of support we get for the Childrun. It's so wonderful to be able to give back.

Thank you so much for commenting that it's best for Jayden to stay home right now with the virus going around. Sometimes I wonder if I am over-protecting Jayden. I constantly pray for wisdom for making the "right" decisions, for His will be done...

How was Sam's last appointment? Did Dr. Bond increase his chemo dosage to 75%? When Jayden's counts met the "minimums" 2 weeks ago, his chemo was resumed at 50% and then Dr. Adam mentioned if Jayden's counts continue to go up, then his dosage will be increased to 75%. However, Jayden's ANC actually dropped last week and so the home chemo was hold again. We will go in for vincristine and blood work tomorrow and find out whether home chemo will resume again.

Looking forward to our "new normal" life and summer with no homework! :)

Blessings,
Evelyn
