I woke up early this morning to catch the 7:15 plane back to Vancouver. It was sunny and warm while I was visiting. The day and a half went by so quickly, but much was accomplished. It was great to see friends at school but there was no time for any extended visits, except at home with Ger, K8, and Karly.
One of Sam's special Sunday school teachers from yesteryear's sent Sam and I a beautiful letter with an attached devotional which was perfect for my day today. "Looking up to the clouds on a stormy day, we see only their underside-gloomy, dark and threatening. We cannot see the bright light which is just beyond their dark barrier. To see the sunshine we have to be above the clouds." (K.C. Ung). That is one of the delights I have when I fly...to enjoy the sunny expanse above the clouds and the rain. We are in the midst of our personal stormy weather, but with God's help we are able to rise above and see the bright sunshine of God's grace and mercy shining on us. It is constant, warm and all encompassing. Are you experiencing stormy weather right now too? Let's fly and soar together into God's presence and cuddle up on His lap, enjoy His arms holding us and lean into Him. Here is where I find peace and rest.
"Home is where your heart is"." My heart is feeling torn because it is in in two places: White Rock and Prince George. Our family is looking forward to being together more this summer...its just a few weeks away!
Sam gave me the biggest hug I've ever received from him when I arrived back in the condo. He just clung to me for a long time...what a sweet boy! He had a good day with the exception of a very sore tummy and I'm sure you can guess why! Sheesh, you'd think he'd be able to control those urges when they cause him physical pain, but the brain, due to the meds, is telling him to eat, eat, eat. We visited with cousin Daniel, ate a scrumptious meal made by Grandma, had a check up with Dr. Grandpa, and went on two long walks. It wasn't raining today, just very cool and overcast. Enjoy your beautiful weather Prince Georgian friends.
Good night, Debbie

Hey Sam,
We've enjoyed our long "skype" conversations over the last few evenings (your mornings!) Glad to know you got to visit with Daniel yesterday. We'll be praying for you through tomorrow's tests.
