Day 18

Ger and K8 left to go home early this morning and we felt a little bluesy. We had a wonderful time being together and had a few visits with family and friends over the weekend. Sam and I had a long nap this morning and then went for a walk\wheelchair ride to the mall to pick up some foods he was craving. We dropped by Grandma and Grandpas for a visit, played Snakes and Ladders and Chinese Checkers. While I went for a walk, Sam had a nap. We stayed for a delicous roast beef dinner and scrumptious ceasar salad.

Sam here... I just wanted to say a few things to all the people looking at this blog to see how I'm doing. I felt a lot better today and was very energized according to my mom. We went to the mall and that seemed to be ok. I loved walking through the food court because I commented on every restaraunt we paseed and wished I could have something to eat from each one. I want to really thank all of you who are praying for me because I really feel that God is answering your prayers and he is helping me through this every second of every day. I had a fantastic day! Tomorrow I have to wake up at 6 oclock for blood work appointment at seven. That means that I have to get another needle in my arm which I am not looking forward to at all. I have to go to bed now so keep reading and I will keep u you updated and one more thing... good night.

After supper Sam and Grandpa watched the Detroit and Pittsburg hockey playoffs. Grandma and I joined them after the dishes were done. Sam and I left before all the overtimes were finished because we were getting tired. We got back and skyped with Ger and Karly. What a great tool that is to see what's going on in each others homes.

The days pass quickly, especially when we sleep for half of it. I guess we are both catching up from all the sleep we missed while at the hospital. Time to get ready for bed and tuck each other in. Sweet Dreams, Debbie and SAM

Sam,
your haircut looks pretty good! (And however it looks, you can be certain that it will always look better than your Dad's! ;) ) I want you to know that because of you and because we are able to read your blog each day our family is praying more often and more deeply together, and I am personally praying more, and more intensely. (Nat keeps sneaking out of her room to read and post a note - tonight she is supposed to be catching up on her sleep for the track meet tomorrow! She was intent on shaving her head in solidarity, but unfortunately her hair grows VERY slowly and her mother and I were afraid that she'd be 25 before it was over her ears again! I hear that there will be a few baldies around the school, soon...) Hang in there, buddy - GOD is GOOD.
- Richard BJ & family.

Hey Sammy

I loved seeing your personalized note typed into the blog, it made me feel closer to you in my understanding of how you are really doing/feeling. I had no idea, until this unfortunate experience, that you were/are such a strong young man with such an amazing disposition (a.k.a attitude- that is a strong verb, according to the Elementary Teachers at Cedars.) As always, or at least from the start of this trial, we (the Toninato's and all my classes) have been praying for you.

God bless you and stay strong lil' trooper, Mrs. Toninato (Sherry)
