June 30

Well, after a very, very hectic three and a half weeks, I'm finally back in White Rock to visit Debbie and Sam again. It feels so good to be here and know that I don't immediately have to head back home to work. I stopped at my sister's beautiful cabin on the way down and dropped off Karly. She'll stay there until Friday and then come back with my brother and their family. The lake was beautiful this morning at 5am when I got up to leave but this year it doesn't have its pull on me - I couldn't wait to get on the road and come down to see Sam and Debbie. Its my favorite place on the planet but without Sam and Debbie, it isn't the place I wanna be.

My brother got up at 5am as well, (I was planning to just sneak out but didn't make it) and he made us some coffee and we sat on the deck and watched the sun creep across the lake and had a nice talk.

I arrived at about 2pm and then had a nap and then over to gramma and grampás for dinner - which was of course unbelievably excellent. Then home to the apartment and a chance to import Debbie's pictures. I guess my 39 item list on how to do it wasn't very helpful - easier just to wait for me to come down!
